Bike Day

On Tuesday 17th October Kaikohe Christian school learned about Bike Safety. Three instructors came to Kaikohe Christian school in a van to teach them about bike safety.

The purpose of the day was to learn about riding bikes safely and to keep us safe when riding on the road. They learned about helmets and the ABCDEQ system.

The whole thing was great. First they all grabbed a helmet and put them on while one of the instructors talked about what the helmets are made of and some facts about the helmets. After that they learned what the ABCDEQ system to check their bikes. Next they practiced riding around obstacles and doing laps around the playground. Last they had some like playing some game driving over a ramp. At The end they all say goodbye to each other and they left in the same van they came in.

Devotions Reflection

We are created in God's image. This means I have God-given creativity and talents.

This week we read the parable of the three servants.

The parable was about three servants who got some money from their master because he had to leave .when he came back he expected some profit. The first two doubled their money and they were rewarded because of their faith. The third servant was too lazy and buried the money so the master punished him and took the money from him.

Limerick poems

In class, we learned about limerick poems. Limerick poems are a humorous poem that has 5 lines and their rhyming pattern is AABBA

Here is an example poem we made in class…

I once met a boy from Taheke

Who thought that he was way tumeke

But he lost his rugby game

And realized he was vain

How sad was the boy from Taheke
